GLAMER Tips for Our Partners

GLAMER Travel Industry veterans have learned special techniques and 'tricks of the trade' that go into making a successful GLAMER Chapter Meeting for both themselves and their business.

The following are some of these suggestions that will help make your day more productive and enjoyable:
  1. You will have two (2) separate Marketplace sessions, each one lasting approximately 60 minutes. The number of Senior Group Leaders will be about half of the group per session.

    Do not distribute all of your brochures and "table give-a-ways" in the first session. Keep all of your give-a-ways on the floor. In that way, you can reward the true qualified buyer or those who show genuine interest and not create a give-away atmosphere.


  2. Each Group Leader will present a red and white Travel Partner Card and ask you to initial the card next to your organization's name. This is the time to gather all of your marketing skills, wit, charm and personality to control the moment and keep the Group Leader focused on your message. Sign the Partner Card once you have finished your discussion with the Group Leader. The "Partner Card" is your tool to start a relationship with the Group Leader.

    Please notice, an asterisk (*) on the name badge denotes the primary Group Leader.


  3. Group Leaders often need time to digest your information and share it with their members. All business is not written at the GLAMER Chapter Meeting. Many Group Leaders will agree to bring their organization to your location after you contact them following the Chapter Meeting.


  4. GLAMER Chapter Meetings are successful because of the partnership between GLAMER, the Travel Industry and Group Leaders. Equate a successful meeting with the number of groups that you can do business with that you meet. GLAMER Travel Industry veterans will tell you that they have had a great day when there has been between 45-60 Group Leaders in attendance.

    Always pace yourself and your networking time. Invite a Group Leader to sit with you at lunch or set up time at the end of the Chapter Meeting to have a further discussion.


  5. GLAMER always values your input. Please fill out the BRIGHT YELLOW report card at your table.
